CNC Swiss Machinist (1st Shift)
Jackson, MI
Classic Metal Finishing, a Jackson, Michigan based company and manufacturer of CNC Machining and Metal Finishing is seeking to recruit a full-time CNC Swiss Machinist on 1st shift.
1st shift: 6:00am-3:30pm
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC Swiss lathes to job specifications.
- Install and adjust tooling, workholding, collets, guide bushings, and bar feeders.
- Load and align material bars and verify correct machine parameters.
- Run first-piece inspections and perform test cuts to ensure part accuracy.
- Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CNC programs.
- Troubleshoot machining issues such as tool wear, chip control, and surface finish problems.
- Collaborate with programmers and engineers to improve cycle times and machining processes.
- Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators and optical comparators
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Good attendance/work history
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good hand eye coordination
General Laborer
Jackson, MI
Job description:
Classic Metal Finishing, a leader in Manufacturing and Metal Finishing, is looking for a General Laborer to join their team on 3rd shift. Classic Metal Finishing prides itself with complete dedication to not only its customers but also to its employees by providing a safe, clean and family-friendly environment.
3rd Shift: 10pm-7am
Responsibilities:
- Perform repetitive job responsibilities throughout their shift.
- Retain information that you have been trained on.
- Count/Inspect the finished product and determine if the product order is complete
- Transfer finished product to customer container or box and complete paperwork
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed
- Clean work area and equipment
- Maintain efficiency expectations to ensure on time delivery
Requirements:
- GED/Highschool Diploma
- Good attendance/work history
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good hand eye coordination
- Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours.
